Lorry ends up on its side after M23 crash causing traffic chaos
A multiple-vehicle crash on the M23 today (Tuesday, September 27) caused traffic delays and closed three lanes. The incident involved a lorry coming off the road near junction 8 at Reigate and onto the embankment. Traffic monitoring service Inrix said at just before 11am: "Three lanes closed and queueing traffic due to accident, two or three vehicles involved on M23 Southbound after J8 M25. A lorry has gone off the road, down the embankment.
Only lane four is open." It is not yet known if anyone was injured. SurreyLive will contact the emergency services for comment.
