Dramatic photos show overturned car in Newmarket crash

Dramatic images have been released by Police from a collision in Newmarket which left one car overturned while a man had to be rescued from inside the vehicle. Suffolk Police were called at 5:45pm yesterday (September 27) with reports of a two vehicle collision on Rowley Drive in Newmarket. Fire crews and ambulance services also attended the scene where a car was left overturned after a red Honda and grey Ford Focus were involved in a collision.

According to police the driver of the Honda had to be rescued from the overturned vehicle. Thankfully, no life threatening or life changing injuries are thought to have been sustained and police have now released pictures from the incident. The photo shows the overturned car which had been severely damaged, surrounded by emergency services

A spokesperson from Suffolk Police said: "Police were called shortly after 5:45pm to reports of a two vehicle collision on Rowley Drive in Newmarket. A red Honda and grey Ford Focus were in collision, which caused the Honda to overturn on its side.

The driver of the Honda - a man - had to be extracted from the vehicle, but is not believe to have sustained life threatening or life changing injuries.

The road was closed to also for recovery, with vehicles recovered by 10pm."
