Bosham Co-Op destroyed in dramatic theft as forklift smashes into front of store

The suspects have not yet been arrested A Bosham Co-Op store has been destroyed after a forklift smashed into the front of it during a theft. The front of the Station Road shop fell apart after a blue pick-up truck collided with it in an attempt to steal a cash machine.

The incident took place in the early hours of Saturday morning, and the machine was loaded onto the truck as three men in balaclavas escaped the scene.  Sussex Police added that the pickup truck was later discovered abandoned in Sheepwash Lane, East Lavant. Enquiries continue and police advise anyone with information to call 101 with the serial number 161 of 24/09.
