Lorry driver killed after vehicle overturns on A34 in Oxfordshire

A lorry driver died after his vehicle overturned on a busy Oxfordshire dual carriageway. Emergency services, including the air ambulance, were called to the A34 northbound between Milton and Marcham shortly after 8.30am on Tuesday, August 30. A white articulated scaffolding lorry was travelling northwards on the A34 between Milton and Marcham when the vehicle lost control and overturned.

The lorry's driver, a man in his 50s from Kent, died at the scene. No one else was injured in the incident, which left the road closed for several hours. The man's family are being supported by specially trained officers and Thames Valley Police is urging anyone with information to contact the force. Investigating officer, PC Shaun Nash of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit based at Bicester, said: "We are appealing for witnesses to come forward following this incident on the A34 yesterday in which a man sadly died.

We are asking anyone with dash-cam footage to please upload it to our online portal, or if anyone else has information they believe may be of assistance we would ask them to call 101 quoting reference 43220389104."
