Gary the pigeon was stuck in the road, unable to fly

A TEAM of firefighters helped a flightless pigeon following a call out to a false alarm. On the afternoon of August 18, firefighters from Romsey Fire Station attended an Automatic Fire Alarm (AFA) near Romsey, caused by a system fault. The team, who named the bird Gary, contacted a local veterinary which agreed to take care of the pigeon and nurse it back to full health.
